As per the recent survey by Neaw Zealand based research firm UMR Research among 1000 New Zealanders, viewers feel okay to watch online porn rather than downloading pirated movies and songs

Downloading a movie or song illegally is an offense in New Zealand, but, watching porn isn’t.

This shows that people feel more comfortable to stream movies on “youtube” etc violating copyright, rather than downloading pirated movies or songs.

Nearly half of all respondents (41%) felt it was morally acceptable for a single person to view pornography online, although that proportion was much higher among male respondents (56%) than females (26%). Even 18 % people think that hiding the habits of watching online porn from their wives is more acceptable than downloading movies or songs illegally.

In a story by MSNBC,  Ft. Myers Beach Mayor Larry Kiker held an emergency meeting last Tuesday night to vote on whether Town Manager, Scott Janke should be removed from his position. The reason? Last year he married a porn star.

In October 2008 Scott married Anabela,  who works in the adult film industry under the stage name of Jazella Moore. The couple appear to have a happy household and the Mayor says there were no rules or laws broken.
